Key DECISIONS and ACTIONS from the Hockey Club Committee Meet 2 Nov

New Club Logo – The Hockey Club committee has approved a new logo for the club. It can be seen on the Sports Club sign at the entrance to the club and on Mens and ladies 1st team tracksuits. The new logo will provide a more visible and recognizable brand for Doncaster Hockey Club for todays times.

Umpires - The club is short of qualified umpires. We urgently need club members to volunteer for umpiring now – please contact Ken West. A level 1 umpiring course will be organised for the 24 January at Doncaster.

Ladies, Men’s and Junior Sections – Mens and ladies teams have been entered for this winter’s indoor competitions.

Pitch Manager – Jake Bennett has been appointed as the new Pitch Manager.

Club Roles – A ‘Quick Guide’ of who does what to run Doncaster Hockey Club and keep it moving forward can now be found on the website under information / documents. Job descriptions for the paid roles of Club Secretary and Liaison Officer, and Pitch Manager have also been posted on the website. An explanation of all other club roles will be available in the next few weeks.

Funding - Fund raising continues to go well. Kirk Bellerby’s drive on sponsorship is around £3,500. Please support this great work to bring more funding into the club by asking or signing up even more sponsors that you personally can sell our club to.

A ladies fashion show organized by Elaine Thorpe was held on the 28 October and raised £600.

Cheese and Wine tickets for the 19 December are now on sale.
