L1
Morpeth 1 v Doncaster L1
0 : 1
Doncaster Ladies 1s started the game strongly, with an even and competitive opening quarter. Their early pressure paid off with a well-worked short corner routine, as Lucy and Bea combined cleverly for Bea to finish confidently and give Doncaster a 1–0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
After a spirited and confident message from the coach at the break, Doncaster looked to build on their advantage. However, Morpeth came out determined to fight their way back into the match and spent much of the remaining three quarters searching for an equaliser.
Doncaster’s defence stood firm throughout. The back four of Bella, Sarah, Neve, and Hattie were outstanding, dealing calmly with sustained pressure, while Beth in goal produced a fantastic performance to ensure nothing got past her.
Although Morpeth pushed hard, Doncaster remained dangerous on the counterattack and created a few threatening moments of their own. At times it was difficult to outlet cleanly from the back, but the team stayed disciplined and resilient to see out the match.
The 1–0 victory secures another important three points for Doncaster. With York drawing elsewhere, the title race tightens further, leaving Doncaster three points behind the leaders with two games remaining.

Doncaster L2 v City of York 2
1 :2
Doncaster Ladies 2s put in a strong performance in their final home game of the season but were narrowly beaten 2–1 by City of York.
Doncaster created several good chances throughout the match but were unable to convert them. Their goal came from a well-worked short corner, with Nat firing an excellent strike into the net.
With the game finely balanced, York found a late winner in the final few minutes to secure the victory, leaving Doncaster unlucky not to take more from a positive performance.

Doncaster L3 v Epworth 1
7 : 1
Doncaster Ladies 3s delivered a dominant performance at home, securing an emphatic 7–1 victory over Epworth 1s in an impressive all-round team display.
The hosts started brightly and took the lead early on. Just four minutes into the match, Woody opened the scoring with a well-taken goal to put Doncaster 1–0 ahead. Doncaster continued to press and control possession, and their attacking intent paid off again in the 18th minute when Holly found the back of the net to double the lead.
Epworth tried to fight their way back into the game and won a couple of short corners during the first half, but Doncaster goalkeeper Binnie was equal to the task, producing strong saves to keep the visitors scoreless.
Doncaster maintained their momentum, and shortly before half time Woody struck again in the 30th minute, giving the home side a commanding 3–0 advantage going into the break.
The second half began much the same way as the first, with Doncaster applying pressure. Eight minutes after the restart they earned a short corner, which Sophie converted confidently to extend the lead to 4–0. Just five minutes later Priya added another from open play following a well-worked attacking move.
Doncaster continued to dominate the set pieces, and three minutes later Emily scored from another short corner to make it 6–0.
Despite a strong defensive performance from Doncaster throughout the game, Epworth managed to pull one back later in the half. However, Doncaster quickly responded, and Woody completed her hat-trick to round off an excellent afternoon for the home side.
The final whistle confirmed a convincing 7–1 victory for Doncaster Ladies 3s.
Player of the Match: Saffy, for an outstanding performance and tireless work across the pitch.

Tadcaster 2 v Doncaster L4

At the back, Grace, Izzy and Jill defended strongly in front of goalkeeper Heather, whose efforts helped secure a well-deserved win for Doncaster.

Doncaster M1 v Lindum 1
1 : 3
Saturday night games under the lights at DHC are always special, and the side line was packed as we welcomed Lindum in the North Conference.
Two sides in the top half of the table who’ve enjoyed many a fine game over the years took to the turf for the 6:30pm push back, and it was the hosts who started the brighter. A couple of decent field goal opportunities and a PCA went begging, and with the quality of opposition we were up against, those chances had to be taken. Inevitably, Lindum made us pay with a couple of well worked counter goals.
We started the second half 2 goals down, but the belief was still there. Again, some decent
chances came and went, and once again, Lindum made us pay by adding 1 more to their tally.
Despite our best efforts, a 3-goal lead was one we couldn’t over turn. However, a moment of brilliance from Tom Wheeldon saw Doncaster get one on the board - a thumping reverse stick effort into the backboard to give us something to cheer.
It wouldn’t have been fair for Doncaster to leave the game without scoring, but no doubt the better side won on the day. Lindum’s game plan and execution surpassed ours and sadly we suffered our second home defeat of the season

Doncaster M2 v Whitley Bay & Tynemouth 1
2 : 3
Going into this fixture, Donny needed just a point to confirm survival in the YNE premier league.
The visitors struck first, taking an early 1-0 lead after finding space in the Doncaster circle and finishing clinically. Doncaster’s response, however, was immediate. Winning a penalty corner , the home side worked the routine well and fired a low strike into the bottom left corner to bring the game back level at 1-1 thanks to Faerber.
Despite the quick reply, the middle stages of the match belonged to Whitley Bay. Across the next two quarters they managed to take control, capitalising on their chances and stretching the score line to 3-1.
Doncaster continued to battle and kept themselves in the contest through persistent attacking pressure. Their efforts were rewarded when B Stoves stepped up at a penalty corner and converted to reduce the deficit to 3-2, setting up a tense final quarter.
The home side pushed hard for an equaliser, creating pressure and forcing Whitley Bay to defend deep in the closing stages. However, despite several promising moments, the leveller never arrived and the visitors held on for the win.
Full Time: Doncaster Men’s 2s 2–3 Whitley Bay 1s, fortunately results elsewhere went our way and we remain 6 points clear with 2 games remaining. Hopefully we can do enough to stay up!

Leeds Adel 3 v Doncaster M3
3 : 1

Doncaster M4 v Chesterfield 3
1 : 2
Doncaster suffered a frustrating defeat against a much-changed, and strengthened Chesterfield side in a lively contest that saw chances at both ends.
The first half was played at a high tempo, with both teams going end to end in an entertaining opening period. Chesterfield struck first, taking the lead through a fortunate deflection after an initial save had denied the first effort. Doncaster responded well and soon found an equaliser. A well-worked long corner routine was finished neatly by Glasby, bringing the sides level and giving Doncaster renewed momentum.
However, Chesterfield regained the advantage before the break. A slick passing move cut through the Doncaster defence and was clinically finished, sending the visitors into half-time with a 2–1 lead.
The second half saw Doncaster push hard for another equaliser, piling on sustained pressure and creating several promising chances. Despite their efforts, they were repeatedly denied by an inspired Chesterfield goalkeeper who, by his own admission, “had the game of his life.” He produced a series of impressive saves, tipping short corners and goal-bound shots wide of his posts that would normally have found the back of the net.
In the end, Doncaster were left disappointed not to take anything from the match. With just two games remaining, they now head into the final fixtures knowing they need to find some valuable points to finish the campaign strongly.

Doncaster M5 v Brigg 4
1 : 0
In a display of tactical discipline and defensive resilience, Doncaster Men’s 5s tightened their grip on third place in the league with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Brigg 4th XI. Despite dominating large stretches of the match, Doncaster had to rely on a moment of “clinical” execution and a steadfast back line to secure all three points.
First Half: Dominance Without the Dividend
Doncaster started with intent, asserting control early in the "middle of the park." The midfield engine room dictated the tempo, allowing wingers O. Wade and B. Ogley to provide consistent width and threat. Their pace and movement kept the Brigg defensive line under a sustained barrage of pressure.
However, for all the territorial advantage, the breakthrough remained elusive. Doncaster earned a series of penalty corners throughout the half, but a combination of stubborn defending and a lack of decisive finishing meant these opportunities went squandered. It was a clear takeaway for the side: the conversion rate on set pieces will need to be a focus in training if they are to capitalise on such dominance in the future.
Half-time Score: 0-0
Second Half: The Breakthrough
The second half saw a shift in momentum as Brigg emerged with renewed determination. The visitors carved out several opportunities and earned their own share of penalty corners, forcing the Doncaster defence into a period of high-intensity work.
The deadlock was finally broken following a swift Doncaster breakaway down the right flank. A free hit was awarded just outside the area; a quick restart caught the Brigg defenders off guard. Having failed to retreat the required distance before intercepting, the umpire indicating a penalty corner.
The Goal:
A. Green stepped up for the corner.
A straight flick towards the right-hand post beat the man on the line and the keeper.
1-0 to Doncaster.
The Final Stand
The goal sparked a frantic closing period. Brigg pushed forward in search of an equalizer, creating several high-pressure scrambles at close range. However, the Doncaster defence remained "rock solid," rebuffing every attempt to preserve the clean sheet.
In the final 10 minutes, Doncaster showed veteran-like composure. They successfully slowed the game down, prioritizing possession and game management to frustrate Brigg and see out the narrow lead until the final whistle.
League Outlook
With only two games remaining in the season, this victory keeps Doncaster firmly in 3rd place. The race for the top spots is heating up, setting the stage for a massive showdown next week.
Next Fixture:
Opponent: York 6th XI (4th in the league)
Importance: A "must-win" to secure their podium finish and potentially climb higher.
