L3
Doncaster L3 V Bridlington
2 : 0

Doncaster Ladies 3s delivered a composed and commanding performance to secure a 2–0 victory over Bridlington in a hard-fought league encounter.
The first half was a tight and competitive affair, with both sides battling throughout. Doncaster created several promising opportunities through patient build-up play and some strong balls into the circle, but Bridlington’s defence held firm to keep the scores level at the break. At the other end, Doncaster’s defensive unit remained organised and disciplined, ensuring the visitors didn’t get too many chances to score.
The breakthrough finally came 15 minutes into the second half. After sustained pressure and well-worked play across the pitch Holly scored from open play in the 50th minute to give Doncaster a deserved 1–0 lead. The goal lifted the home side, who continued to press and control possession.
Doncaster doubled their advantage around the 60-minute mark when they were awarded a penalty flick following a defensive infringement in the circle. Woody stepped up with confidence and made no mistake, firing the ball home to make it 2–0 and put the result beyond doubt.
Doncaster continued to apply pressure to the away side but their defense stayed strong and denied us any further goals.
A special mention goes to Sophie, who was named Man of the Match for an outstanding all-round display. Her tireless work rate, intelligent positioning, and composure on the ball were instrumental in driving the team forward and breaking up opposition play.
A strong team performance and three very well-deserved points for Doncaster Ladies 3s.

Phoenix continued to press for a winner and had 4 successive corners but Heather managed to keep the score level togther with excellent defending from Gill, Kerry and Lulu.
The decisive moment came when Doncaster managed to break the tie, with Saffy scoring the winning goal and securing a hard-fought victory.

M2
Doncaster M2 v Lindum 2
5 : 3

The afternoon of Saturday the 14th saw the Doncaster 2nd team play Lindum Hockey Club at the John S Marshall. A victory the previous weekend has had the gents in high spirits leading up to this game. A win was certainly needed in order for the 2s to compete to stay up in the league. Plenty of opportunities arose and some of those that were utilised were short corners with L Rudd scoring one after 10 minutes of gameplay and B Stoves bringing a second only a few minutes later.
Lindum remained competitive throughout having some chances which they took advantage of costing the home side a clean sheet. Coming into the second half, both teams had it all to play for but it was the grit a d effort moving into the final quarter where the Donny 2s ultimately began to widen the gap in score line with 3 field goals being scored in the space of 10 minutes. This meant the game came to an end with a score of 5:3 to Doncaster.
It is great to see that the collective positivity, efforts and teamwork is paying off. Plenty to take into future games but certainly areas are present which can be improved upon in order to secure a place in this league. Another weekend is in sight and hopefully another 3 points can be achieved.
