A rare Sunday fixture awaits as Doncaster welcome league leaders Newcastle University 2s in a huge Yorkshire & North East Premier Division clash!
Newcastle currently sit six points ahead of Doncaster, meaning a victory would close the gap to just three points and tighten things up at the top of the table.
Following last weekend’s frustrating defeat to Sheffield Bankers, Doncaster will be looking to bounce back and return to winning ways.
Tuesday’s training was excellent, with a real focus on circle entries, goalscoring and sharpening our press. The squad is looking strong, and confidence remains high ahead of another big test.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Connie C — returns to the squad following school hockey commitments and will bring her trademark attacking flair, dangerous carries and ability to eliminate defenders.
Liv J — looking particularly sharp in training, with some powerful hitting and flicking from the top of the circle during penalty corner practice. Could Sunday be the day those routines pay off?
It’s also a double-header for Doncaster, with the Ladies 1s and Men’s 1s both facing Newcastle opposition, playing one after the other. A fantastic opportunity for a full afternoon of hockey!
A big opportunity to close the gap at the top, bounce back from last weekend and make home advantage count.
Come down and support both teams for a brilliant Sunday of hockey!
COME ON DONCASTER!

Doncaster M1 v Newcastle Uni M1
Competition: Men's National League Conference North
Date: Sunday 18th October 14:00
Venue: HOME

The Men’s first team look forward to what promises to be a good day for the club as they follow the Ladies first team playing Newcastle University at home in front of what should be a strong home support.
With both sides near the bottom of the table after the early stages of the season 3 points will be vital for both teams. Doncaster will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing result away to Durham last weekend.
Despite the slow start to the season the squad remain positive it can be turned around and believe this weekend to be the turning point. They look forward to being back in front of the ever-present home support for a vital fixture in their season.
See you all on Super Sunday at DHC.
