League Context
• City of York: Top of the table, three points ahead
• Doncaster: 2nd place, looking to secure runners-up spot and still chasing the title
Doncaster head into their final two games of the season this weekend as they take on Stokesley at home, knowing that a victory would guarantee second place in the league.
However, the title race is not quite over yet. City of York sit three points ahead, and while their goal difference is significantly stronger, Doncaster will still be hoping for an upset elsewhere that could reopen the door at the top.
Stokesley proved a tough opponent earlier in the season, with the reverse fixture ending in a hard-fought draw. Known for their physical style of play, they will once again provide a stern test.
The positive news for Doncaster is that they will be fielding one of their strongest squads of the season, with Charlotte returning to strengthen the defensive line. After a huge defensive performance away at Morpeth last weekend, the team will head into this fixture full of confidence that they can secure another important result.
Players to Watch
• Charlotte — returning to the side and adding strength and experience at the back.
• Doncaster Defence — coming off an outstanding performance last week and looking to build on that momentum.
With the season nearing its conclusion, Doncaster will be determined to make home advantage count and take a big step toward securing second place while keeping faint title hopes alive.

Sheffield 1 v Doncaster M1

Competition: National League Conference North
Date: Sunday, 14:00
Venue: Away (Sheffield)

A trip to local Yorkshire rivals Sheffield beckons for us at the weekend as we look to bounce back from defeat in the North Conference against Lindum.
Sheffield are having a terrific season and are greatly improved on previous years, so we expect a hotly contested game at Abbeydale this weekend. The game earlier in the season played out as a 1-1 draw, which was probably a fair result on balance.
Although the result against Lindum was disappointing, there was plenty of positives to take from the performance, which we’ll look to carry into next weekend and hopefully with improved execution of our skills and a bit of luck, we can get the result we need.
We’re in the final furlong of the season and the support we’ve received, both home and away, has been superb - the team is extremely grateful and we’re hoping to finish the season strongly to repay your support
