A stalwart and long-term servant of Doncaster Hockey Club in numerous roles but mostly fondly remembered has the club secretary for over 30 years. George was passionate about the club and he voluntarily devoted a significant part of his life to DHC, for which we all owe him a debt of gratitude.

Admired for how dedicated and committed he was to anything he became involved in, a truly influential man that will leave all that knew him grateful for that meeting. A patient, thoughtful and considerate man, his passing as left all shocked and saddened by the news.

Doncaster Hockey Club and the hockey family have lost one of the true characters.

He will be sadly missed and our condolences go out to Sally, Simon, David and their families

Funeral arrangements:
Funeral service will take place at Doncaster Minster on Thursday 19th December at 12 noon.

It will be followed by a family burial and a wake at Doncaster Town Fields Sports Club.
