Doncaster Hockey Club is delighted to welcome Slacks Butchers (E.V. Slack & Sons) as a new annual sponsor, strengthening the club’s partnership with one of the region’s most respected and long‑standing family businesses.
A fifth‑generation butchers with more than 100 years of heritage, Slacks has built its reputation on exceptional quality, traditional craftsmanship, and a genuine “farm‑to‑fork” ethos. Their unique operation brings together their own farm, abattoir, butchery and the popular Tweed Coffee Shop, allowing them to oversee every stage of production and offer customers fully traceable, locally sourced meat.
Over the decades, Slacks has grown into a trusted name across Doncaster and the wider region. Their commitment to high welfare standards, sustainable practices and local produce has earned them a loyal customer base and recognition as one of the area’s leading independent food businesses.
Their support as an annual sponsor will help Doncaster Hockey Club continue to invest in coaching, facilities and community programmes, ensuring the club remains a thriving home for players of all ages and abilities.
Club Chair Kirk Bellerby said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Slacks Butchers into the DHC family. Their values around quality, community and tradition align perfectly with ours, and we’re proud to partner with a business that has been part of Doncaster’s story for generations.”
Slacks Butchers is open Tuesday to Saturday at their long‑established premises, where customers can enjoy premium cuts, seasonal specials and freshly prepared food from the Tweed Coffee Shop.
Doncaster Hockey Club looks forward to a successful partnership and thanks Slacks for their commitment to supporting local sport and the wider community.
