What an incredible group of youngsters that ran around in the rain on Saturday! A Cold and wet day against an older and bigger team from Lincoln.
Senior pro’s Sam Deans and Steve Barton led the group out to war and fought well. The group handled a lot of pressure but conceded a goal when Steve Barton kicked it into our own goal. goon!

U12G - Tournament

U12 girls hockey tournament saw the girls in a competitive number of matches. As the day went on their usual determination and hard work shone through. They showed some great resilience and determination throughout. From the losses we learn how to come back stronger, roll on the next tournament , with some key lessons to be learnt in training. Friendships keep being built, and it’s fantastic to see how the girls pull each other up and laugh on and off the pitch.

Rotherham v Doncaster U12G T2

U14 girls T2 travelled to Rotherham.
First half was mainly Doncaster pressure with the team getting a number of entries into the D but couldn’t find the final finish until a well worked short corner was laid off to Bronwyn to score. Rotherham were dangerous on the counter attack but some good defending and GK work from Rain made it 1-0 half time .
Second half was more of the same with the game going to end to end . Unfortunately Doncaster could not add the second despite some great chances and Rotherham eventually made one of their counter attacks count to make it 1-1 with 10 minutes left . Both sides had chances near the end that weren’t taken so 1-1 final score . Some good performances from the girls and some things to work on. Thanks to Andy helping on the sides and parents for getting them there and braving the cold .
