We had a young team who played some great hockey.
Generally we dominated the game which meant Annie, as goal keeper, was able to settle in to her first development game. She still managed to shout some instructions at the Adults in defence (as requested) and make a couple of great saves too.
Due to the strength of the kids we were also able to sub off the adults which shows how well the juniors can cope without us.
All the kids gave 100 per cent and the link up play was lovely to watch.
One goal game from a well worked penalty corner and the second was due to some excellent stick work by Rhys to work the ball around the keeper.
Great work everyone.

Sunday 1st November

Away

Doncaster U10G (1) YYHL

Before the first match, half term, and likely late nights for Halloween parties etc, meant the girls appeared happy but cold and half asleep.
However, put them on a hockey pitch and they all came to life.
4 fantastic matches with them all displaying individual skills but, most importantly, working as a team.
As a result of them listening, sticking to their positions and setting a press, they stood out above the other teams.
Big shout out to all the girls for going in whatever position was asked of them and not once complaining.

Doncaster U16B and Doncaster U16G - both matches cancelled
