After a wet & windy day yesterday when the men hosted Deeside Ramblers, Ben Rhydding & Sheffield Uni Bankers The women are hoping for better weather today for the following games: 10:00 Doncaster v Sheffield; 11:30 Ben Rhydding v Loughborough University; 13:00 Sheffield v Loughborough University; 14:30 Doncaster v Ben Rhydding; 16:00 Ben Rhydding v Sheffield & 17:30 Doncaster v Loughborough University.

Here’s a quick update on the Foundations activities over the past 12 months for your information.

Providing hockey taster coaching sessions in numerous primary schools in the Doncaster area (14no).

Provide hockey coaching @ Sir Thomas Wharton College in Edlington, Doncaster throughout the academic year (38 sessions in total)

Provide funding for both EH coaching and umpiring courses.

Provide free summer hockey camps for children new to hockey (age 6-14)

Provide trophies and participation certificates for the EH driven initiative State Schools County Championship.5 counties (U14 boys & girls) participated in the inaugural tournament at Cambridge University in June this year. We have been tasked to enter Yorkshire teams in next year’s competition and we will commence with the selection process early in the New Year.

We run various fund-raising events during the year; in order to fund the above initiatives and we are also fortunate to receive donations from generous outside sources.
