Tour De Yorkshire, Summer League & AGM

"Tour de Yorkshire"
As most of you will know, the Tour de Yorkshire is Saturday 30th April. The road outside the club will be closed from 7.30pm the night before until the evening of 30th April. The races finish outside the club – the ladies race at about noon and the mens at about 5.30pm. There will be a bar in the car park (run by the organisers but the Sports Club get 50% of profits) and our own bar will be open as usual but the prices will be increased to match the prices outside for this day only. Prices to members with a card will stay the same. Kirsty will also be catering on the day and Elaine/Pam Bate are organising a cake stall for the Hockey Club (if you can donate any buns please contact Elaine). I don’t think the CC is doing anything?? There will also be entertainment, food, big screens, etc on the field at the side of the club on the town fields.

"Summer League" - message from Darren

As Bev has said summer league will be running on Saturday evenings again starting at 6pm entry fee £150 per team.
Teams consist of 7 players with a minimum of 2 females on the pitch at any time.
Players will also be required to umpire.
We are going to be starting 7th May so please can you let me know A.S.A.P. if you are entering a team so I know how many to expect.
If you need players I already have a growing list of people wanting to play please contact me.

"AGM"

As prevously mentioned in an email the AGM will now take place on Sunday 8 May at 4pm. I have attached the letter (including the agenda) about the AGM and there is also a slip at the bottom for any nominations. Stephen Ward will remain as President until the AGM in 2017. All other officers roles can be nominated for. The Executive Committee recomends the following nominations: Chair - Matt Goodwin, Secretary - Bev Deakin, Finance Director (Treasurer) - Lindsey McAteer, Junior Development Officer - Andrew Gibson, Welfare Officer - Kerry Haslam. The EC welcomes any nominations from members. The EC also includes a Men's & Ladies' rep who is decided at the section meeting. Can I remind everyone that if they want an item on AOB they must contact me 3 days (prior to the meeting) in writing so that it can be added to the agenda. Only items on the agenda can be voted on.
Also attached is a document "Preposed Changes to DHC Constitution". This matter will be voted on at the AGM.
All documents are posted on the club noticeboard.
