Doncaster Ladies' 1st team travelled to Didsbury Northern for Saturday's game. Doncaster started the better team but they were unable to turn early pressure into a goal. It was Didsbury who took the early lead on 12 minutes when they intercepted a poor crossfield pass from Doncaster and quickly got the ball to their attacker who shot into the top corner of the goal. Doncaster struggled to get into their stride in what was a stop start game and mistakes were made by both teams but neither side managed to capitalise on them.

The second half started off better for Doncaster as they put pressure on the Didsbury defence. This looked like it would be rewarded when Bexx Woods received the ball, stepped into the area and shot top corner only to see the ball hit the post and bounce out. The game was levelled on 56 minutes, when a straight strike from Ellie O’Neill from a short corner rebounded off the keeper's pads back to her, the second shot clipping the keeper's pads again but flew into the goal. The final 15 minutes was end to end hockey with both teams looking for the winner but it was the defences that came out on top and snubbed out any chance of a goal. Final score Didsbury 1-1 Doncaster.

Doncaster’s final away game is at Kirkby Stephan on Saturday.

MEN'S 1st TEAM

Doncaster men's 1st team welcomed Nottingham University to Town Fields on Saturday. After a well-fought first half, Nottingham scored just on the break of halftime. The visitors consolidated their lead with 2 further goals in the second half, leaving the final score at 0-3.

This Sunday Doncaster men's 1st team travel to Leeds.
