James brings a wealth of experience in marketing, revenue generation, and strategic development, and we are thrilled to have someone of his calibre contributing to the future direction of the club. His professional expertise, coupled with a deep-rooted connection to the local community, makes him a valuable addition to our leadership team.

As Managing Director of Killgerm Chemicals, James leads a £36 million turnover business and is well-versed in organisational growth, innovation, and people development. His commercial insight will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our operations and deliver long-term sustainability.

Although James’ primary sporting background is in rugby, having previously worked with Doncaster Knights, his passion for sport runs deep. A loyal Liverpool fan, he also has a proud family link to hockey: his uncle, Des Francis, played for England and Ruislip during the 1980s.

James lives in Doncaster with his wife Sarah and their three sons. We are excited to welcome him to Doncaster Hockey Club and look forward to the coming season.
