Donny members representing their country on the international stage

Last weekend, two of our members took part in the Masters Indoor World Cup hosted at Nottingham.

Jonathan Redfern was part of the England Men's O40 side who took silver in their respective competition. Narrowly losing out to the German side in the final. A super competitive affair which many dubbed as the best match of the tournament, drawing in big crowds. Redders is an ever-present in our first team and it is fantastic to see him representing the club on the international stage.

Max Davidson was selected as one of the umpires for the event and took charge of many games across the five days, including the bronze medal match on the final day. This was a much respected appointment. Max continues to work with the umpires at the club as the team at Donny continues to grow.

A huge thank you to all of our members who got down to support these two. We hope that you got to see some quality international hockey and experience the atmosphere of a masters event.

The competition was a huge success with 227 games taking place over the 5 days. Over 80 teams spanning the entire globe, covering all continents (except the obvious one!). Well done for being a part of it guys!
