Doncaster travelled to Wakefield for a Yorkshire derby.
It was the hosts who took the grasp of proceedings early on taking control of the middle of the pitch playing long ball after long ball towards the Doncaster goal hoping to pick out a stick to take the lead. In the 11th minute Wakefied were rewarded for their efforts with the ball finding its way to a Wakefield striker at the top of the circle which she executed well into the Doncaster goal.
Doncaster found themselves chasing a game and managed to put some pressure on the Wakefield goal only to be denied by a good defensive performance.
The score stayed the same going into the break. Following the restart both teams looked revitalised playing the ball around well and creating chances. It was Wakefield who were again rewarded for some nice play with a short corner in the 48th minute which they clinically slotted home to double their advantage.
Doncaster continued to create chances but were off target with some good chances and were punished in the 60th minute when Wakefield were again awarded a short corner and didn't make any mistakes slotting the ball home well.
The final ten minutes saw Wakefield pile the pressure on the Doncaster defence and scored their fourth and final goal with the last touch of the game from yet another well w0rked short corner.
