Doncaster v Airedale Friendly

DONCASTER 0 v 5 AIRDALE
This week saw promoted side Airedale visit Doncaster for a preseason friendly. Airedale started the better of the two teams creating chances from the off. Doncaster pushed the Airedale goal but to no avail and were grateful to Paul Hatton starting in the Doncaster goal keeping the scores level.
Airedale continued to dominate, looking a well drilled unit and taking advantage of some sloppy play by Doncaster and started to take their chances eventually taking a 3-0 lead going into the break.
The second half started how the first ended with Airdale on top from the first whistle to the final whistle adding another two well worked goals to take end the game with a 5-0 win.
Doncaster had some positives coming out of the game, they pressed the Airedale goal well on numerous occasions but failed to test the Airdale keeper properly. Another positive was Dan McBride a visiting player from New Zealand who took the Man of the Match award for a great display. This weeks DOD was Iain McBride for his enforced substitution in the 62nd minute.
Next week Doncaster 4s host Lincoln 1s in their final preparation match for the upcoming season.
